Following their Japanese debut single "Hide and Seek", PLAVE has released ""Hide and Seek - Korean Ver." As self-producing idols, the members once again participated in the creative process, crafting a new narrative through a melody that speaks beyond language. They also opened up about their thoughts on the upcoming Asia tour finale at Gocheok Sky Dome this November."

Please tell us about your involvement in creating the digital single "Hide and Seek - Korean Ver." and any particular aspects you'd like fans to pay attention to.
YEJUN | "We produced this digital single ourselves. It was fascinating to incorporate Korean lyrics into the existing song and performance. We further developed it, building on the guide we created during the original 'Hide and Seek' production. The two versions may seem different at first, but they're quietly connected — and we hope fans will sense that subtle resonance. |
NOAH | "We hoped the two versions would resonate within the broader theme of 'Hide and Seek'. Instead of directly translating the original lyrics, we decided to use the Korean lyrics we had sketched out as a creative compass during the initial production." |
BAMBY | "We wanted to reveal a different side of ourselves through this performance, so we created a new music video. The Japanese debut version featured bridges, amusement parks, and fields to reflect our world. For the Korean version, we focused on choreography, with a pared-down setting and minimal storytelling to let the performance shine." |
EUNHO | "The music video unfolds two contrasting settings — a sunlit scene with pillars wrapped in greenery, and a nighttime scene with bare pillars and no trace of water or grass. As the scenes shift back and forth, it feels as if two people are playing hide and seek in separate worlds." |
HAMIN | "In this version, the amusement park from the original “Hide and Seek” appears buried underground, offering a fresh layer of meaning. Exploring the differences between the two music videos and lyrics is part of the fun we hope to share with our listeners." |

In adapting a song for the first time, did you encounter any differences in your approach compared to your previous productions?
YEJUN | "When we were working on a song that already had choreography, our usual production process was quite different. We didn't have to come up with a new melody or create choreography from scratch, which made it a unique experience." |
NOAH | "I initially thought adapting the song would be easy since we had already included some basic Korean lyrics in the guide version of 'Hide and Seek'. However, once we dove into the project, we discovered that balancing the nuances between the original and the Korean version was actually more difficult than anticipated." |
BAMBY | "This adaptation got me thinking about my approach to expression. Adding our own spin on the lyrics, melody and choreography meant we had to change up how we sang too. Instead of just copying the original, we made sure to really bring out the emotions we were trying to convey." |
EUNHO | "We approached this song as if it were a fresh tune, carefully going over every single word in the lyrics. We made sure to keep the same emotional feel as the original while also injecting our own personal touch and meticulously attending to every little detail. This new version called for a different level of focus and finesse compared to the songs we've worked on before." |
HAMIN | "I found it challenging to capture the essence of the Korean lyrics through movements and emotions. I paid close attention to every detail to keep the original charm while leaving room for new interpretations." |
Were there any memorable moments when you were recording or performing this song?
YEJUN | "I had trouble finding the right way to capture the intensity of the word 'forever' in the chorus of 'Hide and Seek'. Eventually, we went with '힘껏' ('with all one's might') in the chorus, and I was really pleased with how much emotion it packed into just two syllables." |
NOAH | "Since the adapted version is in Korean, we wanted to switch things up for the performance video. We then made changes to the outfits and background. It was so nice to see our fans loving the new style and showering us with compliments." |
BAMBY | "There's a solo dance part for me in the performance video of 'Hide and Seek - Korean Ver.' Since it wasn’t part of the group choreography, I wasn’t sure if I could really captivate the audience on my own. But I poured everything into it to make the dance look amazing, and I think it turned out great — fitting perfectly with the mystical backdrop." |
EUNHO | "We shot the music video at Seonyudo Park in Seoul — a place brimming with trees and the perfect backdrop for a game of hide‑and‑seek. If you ever get the chance to visit, we’d love for it to make listening to our 'Hide and Seek - Korean Ver.' even more special." |
HAMIN | "Our Japanese debut song 'Hide and Seek' was released in summer, while the Korean version came out in autumn. I think the song took on a more sentimental tone that suits the season. It's fascinating how the same melody can sound so different depending on when you sing it." |

Could you share any behind-the-scenes stories or special moments from the recording and production process?
YEJUN | "As mentioned earlier, 'Hide and Seek' was released in summer, but by the time we recorded the Korean version, the weather had started to cool, and it was autumn when we performed it. The song feels like it carries our youth through the passage of time, and I felt a sense of gratitude — like saying, 'Everyone, great job.'" |
NOAH | "Since we debuted in Japan this year, we spent a lot of time singing in Japanese. Switching back to Korean for recording felt a bit unfamiliar at first, but we quickly got used to it. Singing in our native language made the recording process go smoothly." |
BAMBY | "On the day we recorded 'Hide and Seek - Korean Ver.,' we couldn't decide what to eat, and ended up having delicious hamburgers together. I remember didn't eat because he was on a diet. Watching him stay focused while the rest of us ate made me realize just how dedicated he is." |
EUNHO | "During my interview when 'Hide and Seek' was released, I mentioned that singing in Japanese was tough due to unfamiliar pronunciation, but easier in some ways as the language has fewer final consonants. This time around, recording 'Hide and Seek - Korean Ver.', I found Korean a bit more challenging with its additional final consonants, but quickly got the hang of it and completed the recording without any issues!" |
HAMIN | "After wrapping up the recording of 'Hide and Seek - Korean Ver.', Bamby and I, also known as 'Dancerz' for the choreography, jumped right into creating a new routine. Even though it was a super busy day, we made the most of every minute and felt so proud of what we accomplished." |
What message or emotions did you want to convey through the lyrics? Were there any variations from the original Japanese version?
YEJUN | "The Korean version of 'Hide and Seek' carries a heartfelt desire to find one another. Even if we're apart at the moment, I wanted to convey the belief that our bond remains strong. It's like a pledge — that we will surely reunite someday — and I hope our fans feel that message." |
NOAH | "What I paid the most attention to when adapting the original 'Hide and Seek' was the emotion of the moment when two people reunite. I wanted to express the feeling of hope that no matter how long they've been apart, they can find their way back to each other. I hope the song could bring comfort to listeners by resonating with their own cherished moments." |
BAMBY | "I don't just see 'Hide and Seek - Korean Ver.' as a typical childhood game. To me, it's a special journey towards reuniting with someone. No matter the distance between us, I aimed to capture the happiness of that special moment when we finally reunite. My wish is for this song to bring a sense of warmth and a spark of joy to everyone who listens to it." |
EUNHO | "When I sing, I focused on the journey of searching. Even when feeling adrift and unsure for a while, I aim to show that eventually we can all find connection. I hope our music can be a little beam of light to lead someone along their way." |
HAMIN | "The lyrics include a vow to 'never let go.' When performing, I put my heart into keeping that promise. I hope this song becomes a piece that strengthens the bond between us and our fans." |

How did you feel when the tour was announced, and what were your thoughts when the Seoul encore concert at Gocheok Sky Dome was confirmed for November 21–22?
YEJUN | "At first, it didn't feel real that we were holding an Asia tour. I knew we had PLLIs overseas, but I never imagined we'd meet them in person through a tour like this. Being able to spend such precious time with our fans — even at the encore concert — feels like a gift. Since our debut, every moment has been filled with surprise and gratitude." |
NOAH | "We've spent nearly every day preparing together, practicing and doing live streams. All those moments have led us to our Asia tour, which I'm really proud of. When the encore concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul was confirmed, I was thrilled thinking about how many PLLIs could enjoy the show with us in such a large venue." |
BAMBY | "One of our essential songs in the set is 'Our Movie,' and this tour has felt like our very own film. The final show of our Asia tour at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul is like the end credits of that movie. The Asia tour we shared with PLLIs is already unforgettable, and ending it at such a grand venue is truly an honor." |
EUNHO | "Gocheok Sky Dome is one of the largest concert venues in Korea, so I was truly shocked when it was chosen for our encore concert. Hearing that all seats sold out so quickly was another surprise. I'm really looking forward to being with so many PLLIs in one place. I hope to bring everything we've gained from the Asia tour into this final performance." |
HAMIN | "When we finished our Seoul concert in August, we announced the encore show at Gocheok Sky Dome for November. The fans' reaction was so passionate — even after performing for over two hours, their energy gave us strength again. Since the stage is much bigger, members and I talked a lot about delivering performances with greater depth. That also means greater responsibility, so we're preparing with even more sincerity." |
In line with the tour title [DASH: Quantum Leap], what are you each continuing to challenge yourselves with, and what new sides of yourselves would you like to show?
YEJUN | "This tour itself was a new challenge for us. Performing on overseas stages was something I never imagined. As a producer, I'm working to maintain a strong sense of musicality by listening to as many good songs as I can — including ones recommended by the members." |
NOAH | "I'm trying to enjoy the process more than the outcome. I've been actively taking on new challenges, like preparing songs in various languages and learning how to express emotions more intuitively. That's also why we incorporated a band session into this tour." |
BAMBY | "Lately, I've been focusing on choreographing performances that tell richer stories on stage. I also want to deliver more dynamic and visually striking performances. For this tour, we used stage props and effects for 'Chroma Drift', and I'm glad it was well received." |
EUNHO | "All of us are ambitious as artists, and I think that's why PLAVE can show so many different sides. While it wasn't a song we performed as a group, we recently joined an idol audition program as both an active idol and producer, and produced a track called 'MAIN DISH'. I want to keep showing new sides of myself both as a producer and an artist." |
HAMIN | "During this tour, I heard from both fans and the members that I've really grown up! Maybe it's because of my new hairstyle? Encouraged by those expectations, I want to surprise everyone with how much I've grown in skill as well." |
At your concerts, are there any moments with fans that left a lasting impression on you?
YEJUN | "The moment our fans sang 'Our Movie' with us. On the final day of our Seoul concert, seeing everyone sing along brought me to the brink of tears. I felt honored to share that space and time together. I'm grateful to all PLLIs for supporting and loving us." |
NOAH | "During the 'Dash' stage, I performed with a new hairstyle. The cheers and shouts that filled the venue when fans saw our new look left a strong impression. The instant I saw how happy the fans were, all the fatigue from months of preparation seemed to vanish." |
BAMBY | "The moment fans matched the chants perfectly. While on stage, I could feel their energy rising and reaching us directly. Their presence was so clear — it felt like we were truly creating that moment together. Since that day, I've been performing with even more sincerity." |
EUNHO | "I'll never forget the moment fans sang my part with me. PLLIs have such beautiful voices. I felt they were enjoying the stage just as much as we were. Since then, the stage has become even more precious to me. The time we spend with fans is truly meaningful." |
HAMIN | "On the first day at KSPO DOME, I played the piano for 'Island', but my fingers got tangled from nerves and I suddenly stopped playing. It was a bit scary, but I said 'sorry' and started again. I was really flustered, yet I'm grateful that the fans found even that moment endearing." |

Was there anything special you prepared or focused on for your concert in Japan?
YEJUN | "The [DASH: Quantum Leap] tour was a moment for PLAVE to take everything we've built and leap forward. I wanted to show on stage how much we've grown thanks to PLLIs' love. We worked hard to make the Japan concert a special memory that would stay in everyone's hearts." |
NOAH | "To better connect with PLLIs in Japan, I studied as much Japanese as I could — down to each character. I wanted to express my feelings directly, so I prepared diligently before stepping on stage." |
BAMBY | "The theme of [DASH: Quantum Leap] is 'gravity' — the force that pulls us to Terra (Earth), the power that unites PLAVE and makes us stronger. It's all the love from PLLIs. Since this was our first solo concert in Japan, we prepared a stage that local PLLIs would enjoy, and I think everyone had a great time!" |
EUNHO | "While preparing for the concert, we made an effort to greet each other in simple Japanese. Like Noah said, we hoped to communicate directly with PLLIs in Japan." |
HAMIN | "November is my birthday month, so I already feel attached to that time of year. Having a concert made it even more special. Just being able to meet fans in person during such a meaningful time made my heart flutter. On the first day of the concert, the members and fans celebrated together, and I was truly happy." |
Through your overseas concerts, what kind of growth are you aiming for as artists?
YEJUN | "Through diverse stage experiences, I want to deepen my emotional expression in music. My goal is to create performances that connect hearts beyond language." |
NOAH | "I'm exploring how to convey PLAVE's unique musical charm across different cultures. I also hope to expand our musical range by connecting with various artists." |
BAMBY | "I want to learn how to express emotions across countries, regions, and languages. Every movement in choreography is something I carefully study and practice because it's all about conveying feeling." |
EUNHO | "I want to grow the ability to truly connect with fans overseas, face to face. My goal is to become an artist who can convey sincerity through music and performance." |
HAMIN | "If I'm with my members, I believe we can perform on even bigger stages! There's still so much we want to show everyone!" |

Is there anything you'd like to convey directly to your fans through your performances?
YEJUN | "Performing is the moment I can express my heart most honestly. I want to convey, through my gaze and voice on stage, the sincerity behind 'I sing because PLLIs are here.'" |
NOAH | "I hope fans can feel the sincerity in my voice and every movement of my dance on stage. My goal is to leave behind emotions that linger even after the concert ends." |
BAMBY | "I want our performances to become part of our fans' life stories — memorable scenes that stay with them long after the concert ends." |
EUNHO | "Spectacular performances are great, but in the end, heartfelt connection is what matters most. I want fans to truly feel that we love them." |
HAMIN | "I think concerts are the moments when we're closest to our fans. Through the stage, I want to directly share warmth, healing, and the courage to keep walking together." |
As you prepare for the encore concert in Korea, what message would you like to share with those attending a PLAVE concert for the first time?
YEJUN | "Hello! We're PLAVE. For those joining us for the first time, we'll deliver a heartfelt performance that leaves a lasting impression." |
NOAH | "If it's your first time, you might just fall into a whole new world that day. Please enjoy it freely, feel everything deeply, and have fun." |
BAMBY | "No matter what, from this moment on, it's our story together! Dive in and enjoy it to your heart's content. Welcome!" |
EUNHO | "The thought of meeting you for the first time makes me even more nervous and excited! I promise you won't regret it. I'm full of gratitude to everyone who comes." |
HAMIN | "I understand the thrill that comes with the word 'first'. I'll give my all to make sure the stage on concert day becomes a special memory for you." |
