PLAVE appeared on the cover of anan magazine, issue 2469. On "ananweb", all five members showcased their unique personalities in a lighthearted Q&A series. Kicking off the feature is Yejun — PLAVE's leader, main vocalist, lyricist, composer, and producer.
Q. What is the first thing you do after waking up?
I start my day with a glass of water, then relax for about 20 minutes while watching YouTube Shorts. After that, I take a shower and either go exercise, head to the office, or attend practice.
Q. What do you do before going to bed?
I put away my clothes, take a shower, and tidy up my room. Then I play YouTube and close my eyes, simply listening to the audio. I usually fall asleep while doing that.
Q. What is your idea of a perfect day?
Simply following my usual routine. I wake up, have a glass of water, take a shower, get ready to head out, and spend time working on music. I find the everyday things to be the most fulfilling.
Q. What is a small joy in your daily life?
Opening packages I've ordered online. It feels especially nice when they arrive earlier than expected. I don't shop often, but when I do, I usually stock up on drinks and daily essentials all at once.
Q. A phrase you often say?
"Ei~"
Q. What flavor do you like best?
I like rich ramen soup and the taste of seafood.
Q. If you could create a new holiday, what would it celebrate?
I'm not sure about the exact date, but I'd love to create a holiday dedicated to enjoying seafood.
Q. Something you just can't throw away?
PLLI and members mean the most to me. Aside from that, I'd say my card case.
Q. What do you have the most of in your photo folder?
Selfies taken from weird angles.
Q. What is your favorite entertainment work?
"Our Movie", a PLAVE track featuring both PLAVE and PLLI.
Q. Something you always keep in your fridge?
Sparkling water.
Q. Moment that made you laugh recently?
I've been laughing the whole time during our recent activities!
Q. Moment that made you cry recently?
The final day of our Seoul concert at KSPO DOME.
Q. Your charm point?
I always give my best in everything I do.
Q. What are you strongest at within the group?
Expressive vocals — and surprisingly, I'm pretty good at rapping too!
Q. In what way do you think you have grown since debuting?
Staying composed. When I first debuted, everything was unfamiliar and I tended to be overly cautious. Now, I am learning how to enjoy the experience.
Q. A compliment that makes you happy?
It is the feeling of being moved. When people talk about the songs we have created or the performances we have given, I feel so happy knowing that our emotions have reached them.
Q. How do you motivate yourself?
I tell myself, "Let's give it our all today!"
Q. Compliment yourself.
I'd say my manners and politeness are something to be proud of.
Q. What is a reward you give yourself?
I treat myself to romance variety shows. They are the perfect way to recharge and lift my spirits.
Q. How to handle each member?
Noah – Don't read too much into his blank expression. It doesn't mean he's in a bad mood.
Bamby – Don't be surprised by his sudden remarks or unpredictable facial expressions.
Eunho – When he's deeply focused, it's best to give him space.
Hamin – He gives off a big brother vibe, but deep down, he's a warm and lovable space alien.
Q. What is the most important thing in your own "user manual"?
When I start overthinking, just hearing someone say "It's okay" really helps me feel at ease.
